Easy Going Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu has a very modern, happening atmosphere and it is also the starting point and connecting point for our modules in Sabah. This Easy Going pack includes an airport pick-up, so you won't have to worry about how to get to your hotel. Choose from either a comfortable mid-class hotel or a more luxurious hotel, both in the heart of the city or stay at a beautiful beach resort about 30km from Kota Kinabalu with a pearly white soft sand beach right outside your front door.

Kota Kinabalu's modern appeal naturally limits the amount of historic cultural attractions you can visit here. However, there are several places that you should visit while here such as the Tao Tua Pek Kong Temple, the famous catholic cathedral and the state mosque. We also suggest visiting the government museum, especially if you would like to learn more about local customs and specifically about the various Sabah tribes. There are also several scenic view areas overlooking the beautiful coastline and the city. Another 'must' while in this city is a visit to one of the colourful markets. But then again, maybe you just want to come here to rest and relax on one of the tropical beaches.. anything is possible and you get to choose.

Option 1: Kota Kinabalu city hotel

Comfortable mid-class hotel, approximately a 10 minute walk away from the centre of the city. The hotel looks out on Mount Kinabalu. The modest rooms have a shower, toilet and air conditioning. Each morning you'll be treated to a buffet breakfast (included).

After some energetic sightseeing, you can take a dip in the rooftop pool.

This luxurious hotel is located on a lively boulevard in the heart of the city. The spacious rooms have all possible amenities and there are three restaurants in the hotel to choose from as well. The hotel swimming pool is perfect for a refreshing swim. This hotel offers excellent quality for its price.

Option 3: Kota Kinabalu beach resort

This luxurious beach resort is located approximately 30 km from Kota Kinabalu. The resort offers luxury in a relaxing environment and is perfect for those wanting to escape from the city. The resort lies on the edge of the jungle and directly on a white sandy beach, looking out over an azure blue sea simply perfect for splashing around in. Not a big fan of salt water?? The resort has a lovely swimming pool with deck chairs as well. To truly unwind, have a massage and pamper your pallet with the delectable dishes offered here. This is the ideal place to either begin or end your Borneo trip.
